THE CANAL

The canal is a cute thrilling movie. It's combine between horror, drama, and psychological. The story is about young couple who were developing their nice little family.

David (Rupert) and Claire (Antonia) was about having their first child when they decided to buy a house for them, which is an old house in a quite place. There's a canal on the side of the road toward that house.

After they child has born, somehow they marriage became soar, David is an archive, and someday he saw a movie which was taken decades ago, and their house was on it. There was a murder had happened in their new house, a father who slaughtered his own family. And David started seeing some string thing in the house. David was assured that maybe their house is haunted, and that because of the murder which took place there. David work seems going nowhere and Claire started to get bored so classical problem came in between, a third party. Antonia was having an affair, as David predicted when he saw a guy was speaking to her in a party.

So, one day David stalked her, once she went out from her office. And as he worried about, she caught her with her boyfriend was having intimate thing. But, instead of stopping them, he just left them in broken heart. He so destroyed, until he dropped unconscious in an abandoned public toilet near the canal. At least that what he thought happened, because that was the last time Claire seen.

So, Claire is missing, and everybody was looking for her, and the police too of course. The detective suspected David has something to do with his wife missing, but David didn't know where his wife is. Until finally the police found out Antonia in the bottom of the canal. Police became more suspicious to David, while David was getting more strange and horror things, but only he could see it. So it became blur between was it real or it just his imagination. And also David started to had a vision that devil in the house who could have killed his wife. Is it? Or David killed her for cheating on him? You will have your own thought after you saw this movie.
