In this movie, the story is about a man, who was trying to help a girl who works as a prostitute in a Russian Mafia organization.
Robert McCall (Denzel) happened to know a prostitute girl at the cafe he used to hang out in after work in hardware store. And one day, she found that girl, Terry (Chloe) beaten up because she smashed one of her client. Robert try to set her free, offering the mafia some money, but instead of getting what he wanted, the mafia insulted him, and made him mad. And as a retired special forces, he killed them all just in seconds. But the nightmare is just begin.
The angry mafia is very upset and send their most sadistic member Teddy (Marton) to find out who has killed them all with any violence and killing. Finally they met, even though Robert tried to avoid more bloodshed but those mafias took it very personally, and Robert couldn't stand it when they kidnapped and threaten his good friend at work. So, now it is Robert who chases Teddy, and even his boss back in Russia.
Quite like a statement that Russia won't win against American, I can say, but it's okay since the good always win against bad. Not much about the story, but if you don't mind to see violence, this one can be a good thing to motivate you to learn how to protect yourself.
