This is a cute simple movie. If you're looking for a light, fun, and inspiring movie, this can be considered one of the best.
The story is about a young couple who were struggling to build their relationship and also their career in professional music industry.
Greta (Keira Knightley) and Dave (Adam Levine) just move to New York in their pursuit of becoming a successful musicians. Although, Adam who was more talented and hired by a big studios, but Gretta also contributing in writing hit songs. So they really a great combination, until a classic problem came up. The famous Dave began to cheat on her, and Gretta just couldn't take it. So she decided to leave him. But, on her way to the bus station, she by accident found her old friend Steve (James Corden) who happened to be a street musicians. He's a such of talented musicians who just need bigger opportunity to be successful. So this old best friend were talking when Steve decide to ask Gretta to his little show at the bar. Where spontaneously, Steve drag Gretta to the stage and ask her to sing one of her song.
When this happened, somehow this desperate producer Dan (Mark Ruffalo) who just been kicked out from his recording studios was there, drunk and looking for a breakthrough. He heard the song, and in his drunk head the inspiration came up, wrapped in a composition only he could heard. So he stand up and convince Gretta to come to the studio he worked before, try to create a single, and built up the hope again for their future.
Dan, who his marriage was also in the edge, has to find something to save his marriage, while in the other hand, this young pretty Gretta was also very easy to be loved to. So, hope were everywhere, their career, love, family, and their future as well.
Really inspiring you to start over what you have lost, in career, love, and future. Nice movie.
