This movie is taken from a best seller novel in France.
The story is about a couple who started as very romantic and turn into a complicated relationship when one of them started to get bored and found love was not there anymore.
Nick (Ben Affleck) was in financial difficulties when he started to feel that Amy ( Rosamund Pike) was all over him, controlling, and demanding. Although he knew that Amy was a popular, ambitious girls, and successful also, before she met him, but still this situation drove him crazy, until he decided to end their 5 years marriage.
But, Amy just don't think so, and she would do anything to keep him, because she felt that Nick just only took advantage of her, and he has to pay for it.
Well, the story really started when suddenly, Nick got called from his neighbor telling that some noise in his house, and when he rushed home she found out his house was a mess and his wife was gone. Then the story was about her searching process involving police and investigation, try to find out where Amy is. Does Amy really kidnapped? Or was she just trying to get his husband jailed? How this story will end, I don't think I will tell you here. You should watch this yourself, because this story is unpredictable and quite good movie in this genre so far.
